Speaking & Storytelling
My organic path to public speaking
Speaker, Storyteller
For over 20 years, I’ve taught yoga, breathwork, and meditation to people navigating stress, anxiety, and overwhelm.
But long before that, I was a kid with a shaky voice, a tight chest, and a deep fear of being seen. I never set out to become a public speaker.
I discovered that the very thing I feared—being vulnerable in front of others—could be a bridge. And when that bridge is built on authenticity, empathy, and lived experience, it creates space for healing.
10+ Years of speaking and storytelling
My Speaking Experience
During my 10+ years as a member of Toastmasters International, I learned how to:
- refine the art of clear, confident, and connected communication.
- speak with clarity, calm, and conviction
- connect deeply with diverse audiences
- turn complex ideas into accessible, meaningful stories.
I’ve also had the honor of sharing my personal journey with anxiety at multiple live storytelling events, including Confabulation Victoria and other curated spoken word evenings. Each story I tell is rooted in truth, humor, humility, and the quiet hope that someone in the audience might feel a little less alone.
What I Speak About
My talks are grounded in lived experience and backed by research. I speak on topics like:
The Nervous System
Why we feel the way we do, and how to shift from survival mode into grounded presence.
The Power of Breath
How fast and slow breathing can rewire your response to stress and help you reclaim your calm.
Mindfulness in Real Life
Making peace with an anxious mind, one moment at a time.
Storytelling as Healing
Using vulnerability, humor, and truth to connect and transform.
